He made the charge during a courtesy call to his office by the Board Chairman and Management of the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC) when they came to pledge their support for the newly appointed Commissioner in his office at the State Secretariat Alagbaka. Pledging the support of his team to the new regime, the Board Chairman, Mr Sanya Oyinsan while speaking for other members of his visiting team said the management is throwing its weight behind the commissioner and his ministry to enable it record success adding that OSRC is performing creditably well as a result of the support given to it by the supervising ministry.
Oyinsan established that the management team put in place for OSRC has in no small measure made its workability possible adding that the Governor’s attitude to the welfare of the station has been of tremendous help in realising the objectives for which the stations were founded.
The chairman announced that the station has maintained cordial relationship with other media stations in and outside of the state as well as the ministry. Describing the newly appointed Commissioner as a team player, a lone star from the firmament and one who knows his onion, Oyinsan declared that he has no doubt that the recently appointed commissioner will succeed.
In his response, the Honourable Commissioner, Akinmade, while commending the OSRC team for being one of the first set of establishments to pay him a courtesy call since he assumed office, assured that the station will get the support of the Ministry at all time. He also commended the effort of the station on the quality of its programmes which he said could only have been possible with the leadership of efficient management team headed by a capable hand like its DG, Mr Ladi Akeredolu Ale.
The Commissioner thus charged the station to take special interest in reporting government activities generously, report government’s activities to the grassroots and introduce programmes that will bring the government closer to the people.
